On my seventh birthday my grandfather surprised me with my first workbench. He’d lovingly built it by hand, fitting it with a vice, storage shelf and tool drawer. I’ve adored working with wood ever since, either creating new pieces or renovating existing furniture. But it was when I was working as a photographer I found my love of framing.
At that time I’d tried a number of framers but none could produce the quality, finesse and finish I was looking for. I already had a workshop so decided to make my own. I discovered the beauty of creating a frame from a single section of Irish hard wood, getting the grain to align and achieving the most appealing finish.
I enjoy every moment of crafting a frame, lost in the silence of the workshop, mindful of every detail and making sure that every frame I produce is perfect in every way.
